With the Woman Wednesday series, CatMax Photography introduces you to exceptional female entrepreneurs who have gone through the CatMax Personal Branding Experience.
Today, we invite you to meet Shannon Inhouse, a dedicated Atlanta real estate agent. An empty nester herself, Shannon specializes in guiding clients through pivotal life transitions, from downsizing and divorce to finding a fresh start. Backed by the luxury service of Beacham & Company (powered by Compass), she combines professional expertise with a deeply personal touch, believing that a home is the foundation for a balanced life. Here, Shannon shares her journey from hotel sales to real estate, her community work, and why her recent branding session was the best investment she made for her business all year.

What inspired you to become a full-time real estate agent and transition from hotel sales?
After raising my boys and entering the work force again, I did a deep dive into what I really wanted for myself and my future. The corporate world did not appeal to me anymore. I wanted to work with people and help them in life transitions, and a love for art, creativity, and flexibility led me to real estate. I love what I do, and helping families through the process is so rewarding.
Why are you so passionate about working with those navigating big life changes—empty nesting, divorce, downsizing, or starting fresh?
I have been in the situation and feel like I can be a good sounding board to meet clients where they are. It’s such a process that takes patience, guidance, and a big heart.
Can you tell us more about the benefits of your affiliation with Beacham & Company, powered by Compass?
I am surrounded by amazing people and staff at Beacham. I started with some of the best in Atlanta in the real estate business, being a small boutique firm that is based on our elevated customer service. We recently merged with Compass. That has been great because we are using their technology, which has opened up a lot of doors across the country.
When not working with clients, you enjoy living a healthy lifestyle through yoga and other exercises. How does that influence the way you show up in your professional life?
I’m a huge advocate of a balanced lifestyle. Working out is very important. It helps me keep my stress level low, stay healthy, and think more clearly.
I like to combine a healthy diet with weights, walking, yoga, tennis, and pickleball, and I’m always up for any type of adventure.
You’re also involved with causes like the Alzheimer’s Association and Habitat for Humanity. Why are these organizations so meaningful to you?
Alzheimer’s has affected me personally with my father, who suffered from it, and so many of my friends have dealt with it with their parents. The Marist Women’s build was so great to be a part of while my son was at Marist. It brought women together to help other women own a house that they may not have been able to afford. The energy and work that goes into building a house over 8 weeks is very powerful.
What words of wisdom do you have for fellow female entrepreneurs?
There are several quotes that I am constantly saying to myself.
1. “Do the work, and the work will come!”
2. “What would great do?”
3. “You can do anything, as long as you put your mind to it.”
4. “I can do anything through Christ, who gives me strength.”
What goals did you have for your branding shoot?
I wanted to get great shots of my lifestyle for real estate and what we do. I needed updated headshots, and Cat far exceeded that. I don’t think I knew what I was getting myself into, but thankfully, Cat guided me through it professionally.
Which photos from the shoot are some of your favorites and why?
I love the one of me on the front porch in my navy dress because it is clean, classy, and professional in front of a beautiful house.
How was your shoot with CatMax Photography different from similar photo shoots you’ve done?
This session was the most professional shoot I have ever done! Cat was so organized and intentional about the day. She made use of all of our time and kept us on task. It was the best money I spent this year. She also made me feel very comfortable and added her creativity to the shoot.
